This page contains the complete Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Community Guidelines governing Fans Clash.
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Harry Holloway, trading as Fans Clash (“Fans Clash”, “we”, “us” or “our”), operates the Fans Clash mobile application, the website at fansclash.app and related services (together, the “Service”). For UK data-protection purposes, Harry Holloway, trading as Fans Clash is the controller of personal information processed through the Service.
Contact: support@fansclash.app. Postal address: 8–10 Welling Way, Welling, Kent DA16 2RJ, United Kingdom.
2. Scope and eligibility
This policy applies to users, visitors, hosts and other people who interact with the Service. Fans Clash is intended only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly permit or collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an underage person has created an account, we will take steps to close it and delete the associated information.
3. Information we process
3.1 Information you provide
- Account information: email address, password credential or authentication token, profile name and confirmation that you are aged 18 or over.
- Profile information: profile picture and the club you support.
- Community activity: rooms joined or hosted, speaking requests, live contributions, polls, votes, Clash Mode participation, results, rankings and other interactions.
- Audio: live microphone audio when you choose to speak. At launch, Fans Clash does not routinely record rooms. If recording is enabled for a room, a clear notice and recording indicator will be shown.
- Safety and support information: reports, moderation decisions, appeals, correspondence and anything you send to support.
- Authentication information: information supplied through Sign in with Apple or Google, such as the provider identifier, name and email made available under your chosen settings.
3.2 Information processed automatically
Fans Clash and its service providers may process technical information needed to operate the Service even though Fans Clash does not currently use a separate analytics, advertising or tracking product. This may include:
- IP address, timestamps, login and authentication events, security events and server logs;
- device type, operating system, app version, language, network and connection information;
- internal account, session, room and notification identifiers; and
- diagnostic, performance and error information generated by the infrastructure used to deliver live audio, authentication and notifications.
The exact information can depend on the device, operating system, authentication method and provider configuration. Fans Clash will update this policy and its app-store privacy disclosures if its practices change.
4. How and why we use information
| Purpose | Typical information | UK/EEA legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Create and manage accounts | Account, profile and authentication data | Contract |
| Provide rooms, live audio, polls and rankings | Profile, audio and community activity | Contract |
| Operate notifications requested by users | Notification identifier and room activity | Consent or contract |
| Moderate, investigate reports and enforce rules | Community activity, audio where recorded, reports and logs | Legitimate interests; legal obligation where applicable |
| Secure, troubleshoot and improve reliability | Technical, diagnostic and usage information | Legitimate interests |
| Respond to support and rights requests | Contact details and correspondence | Contract, legitimate interests or legal obligation |
| Record and reuse room content when enabled | Voice, profile name, likeness and room contribution | Consent, contract and/or legitimate interests as stated in the room notice |
| Meet legal duties and defend claims | Relevant account, safety and correspondence records | Legal obligation or legitimate interests |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests include operating a safe and reliable community, preventing abuse, protecting users and Fans Clash, and understanding whether core features work. We balance these interests against users’ rights. Where consent is the basis, it can be withdrawn for future processing without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
5. Live audio and recordings
Microphone access is requested only when needed for speaking. Listening does not require microphone access. Live audio is transmitted through LiveKit so other room participants can hear it. Fans Clash does not routinely record rooms at launch.
A room may be recorded only when the feature is enabled and users receive clear notice. A visible indicator should remain present while recording is active. If you choose to enter or speak after receiving that notice, the recording may be used to:
- produce highlights, transcripts, captions, summaries and social-media clips;
- advertise and promote Fans Clash, its rooms, hosts and partnerships;
- investigate complaints, enforce rules and protect safety;
- train and assess hosts and improve the platform and audio experience;
- conduct internal research and analytics; and
- create commercial or sponsorship content consistent with the room notice, the Terms and applicable law.
We will not secretly record a room. If you do not wish to be included, do not speak in that recorded room and leave if preferred.
6. Sharing and service providers
We share information only as needed to operate the Service, comply with law, complete a business transfer or protect rights and safety. Current core providers include:
- Supabase — authentication, database and storage infrastructure;
- LiveKit — real-time live-audio infrastructure;
- Expo — app infrastructure and push-notification delivery;
- Apple and Google — optional account authentication and relevant platform services; and
- email, web-hosting and professional advisers where necessary for support, operations or legal compliance.
These providers act under their own terms and/or as processors or independent controllers, depending on the service. We require appropriate protections where they process information for us. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the public or Fans Clash. We do not sell personal information.
7. International transfers
Fans Clash’s principal database and live-audio deployment are configured in Europe. Some providers, support teams or systems may nevertheless process information in other countries. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations, approved contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
8. Retention
| Information | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Active account and profile | For the life of the account |
| Account deletion request | Deleted or anonymised within 30 days, subject to lawful exceptions |
| Backups containing deleted data | Isolated from normal use and overwritten within 90 days where technically practicable |
| Routine service and security logs | Normally up to 12 months |
| Reports, moderation and appeal records | Normally up to 24 months; longer where needed for serious safety issues, repeat abuse or legal claims |
| Support correspondence | Normally up to 24 months after closure |
| Future ordinary room recordings | Normally up to 90 days unless selected for an authorised clip, complaint, safety investigation or legal purpose |
| Published promotional clips | Until no longer required, rights expire, or a valid removal request is accepted |
We may retain limited records for longer where required by law, necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or necessary to prevent a permanently banned user from repeatedly returning. When possible, retained information will be restricted or de-identified.
9. Account and data deletion
Users can initiate permanent deletion from account settings in the app. We may require reauthentication to prevent unauthorised deletion. Deletion includes the account, profile picture, authentication record and associated personal content, subject only to limited lawful exceptions. Sign in with Apple credentials must be revoked as part of the completed deletion process. See our Account and Data Deletion Policy.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to be informed, access your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent and complain to a regulator. These rights are not absolute and lawful exceptions may apply. Email requests to support@fansclash.app. We may verify your identity before responding.
UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Users elsewhere may contact their local data-protection authority.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information, including access controls and provider security features. No internet service is completely secure. Use a strong unique password and promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorised account access.
12. Notifications and communications
Service messages may be sent where necessary to operate an account. Push notifications are optional and can be controlled through device settings and any controls provided in the app. We will obtain any consent required before sending direct marketing, and users can opt out at any time.
13. Automated decision-making
Fans Clash does not currently use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Rankings, votes and automated feature outputs do not replace human review of account suspensions or appeals.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website, email or another reasonable method. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
15. Contact

Terms and Conditions
1. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Harry Holloway, trading as Fans Clash (“Fans Clash”, “we”, “us” or “our”), concerning the Fans Clash app, fansclash.app and related services (the “Service”). Our address is 8–10 Welling Way, Welling, Kent DA16 2RJ, United Kingdom and our contact email is support@fansclash.app.
The Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and any specific competition, promotion or room rules referenced in the Service form part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract. By registering, you confirm that this is true. We may request reasonable evidence of age and may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe the user is under 18 or has provided false information.
3. Accounts and sign-in
- You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for protecting your credentials and activity conducted through your account.
- You must not share, sell, transfer or create accounts for another person.
- You must notify us promptly at support@fansclash.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Email/password, Sign in with Apple and Google sign-in may be available. Use of those services is also subject to the provider’s terms.
4. The Service
Fans Clash provides live sports-audio rooms, speaking queues, hosted discussions, polls, Clash Mode, voting, results, rankings, profiles, notifications and related community features. Rooms and features may be scheduled, changed, interrupted or cancelled. The Service is currently free, but we may introduce paid features in the future only with clear advance information and any consent or purchase process required by law and platform rules.
Fans Clash is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Apple, Google, any league, governing body, football club, broadcaster, player or other rights-holder unless expressly stated.
5. Community participation
Fans Clash is built for strong sporting opinions and genuine debate. Disagreement and ordinary football banter are welcome; targeted abuse is not. Users must follow the Community Guidelines and lawful directions of hosts and administrators. Hosts may control the speaking queue, mute users and remove users from a room. Administrators may restrict, suspend or permanently close accounts.
6. Prohibited conduct
- threats, harassment, bullying, stalking, intimidation or encouraging harm;
- hatred or discrimination based on protected or personal characteristics;
- sexually explicit, exploitative, violent or otherwise unlawful content;
- publishing private information, impersonation, fraud or deceptive conduct;
- copyright, trade mark, privacy or other rights infringement;
- spam, unauthorised advertising, scams, malware or attempts to manipulate votes, rankings or platform systems;
- evading a suspension or ban, interfering with moderation, or helping another person evade enforcement;
- collecting or recording other users without lawful authority or required consent; and
- using the Service to facilitate illegal betting, match manipulation or other illegal activity.
7. User content and licence
“User Content” includes profile names and pictures, live contributions, comments or descriptions, poll submissions, votes, reports and any other material a user submits or communicates through the Service. You retain ownership of rights you hold in your User Content.
You grant Fans Clash a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, adapt, format, moderate and display User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and promote the Service. For content captured in a room clearly identified as recorded, this licence also permits the uses described in section 8. The licence ends when content is deleted, except where copies reasonably remain in backups, published material created under a valid licence, shared material involving other users, or records lawfully retained for safety, enforcement or legal claims.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit User Content and that it does not violate law, these Terms or another person’s rights. You are responsible for what you say and submit. Views expressed by users and hosts are their own and are not necessarily those of Fans Clash.
8. Live audio and possible recording
Fans Clash does not routinely record rooms at launch. We may introduce or enable recording for selected rooms. A recorded room must display clear notice before entry or participation and a visible indicator while recording is active. Do not speak in a recorded room if you do not want your contribution captured.
When you voluntarily speak after receiving the recording notice, you grant Fans Clash permission, to the extent permitted by law, to record and use your voice, profile name, profile image and contribution to:
- produce and distribute highlights, social-media clips, transcripts, captions and summaries;
- advertise and promote Fans Clash, its rooms, hosts, partners and sponsors;
- investigate complaints, enforce rules, protect safety and defend legal claims;
- train and assess hosts and improve the Service and audio experience;
- perform internal research and analytics; and
- create commercial or sponsorship content consistent with the displayed notice and applicable law.
Fans Clash may edit a recording for length, clarity, formatting, safety or compliance but will not knowingly create a materially misleading portrayal. Recording rights are subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy. Users must not independently record rooms unless they have all necessary permissions and comply with law.
9. Reporting and moderation
Users may use the in-app reporting control to report an abusive user or inappropriate content. Reports may also be sent to support@fansclash.app. Hosts can mute or remove participants from a room, and administrators may suspend or permanently ban accounts. Fans Clash does not currently provide a user-controlled blocking feature. We may review relevant information, including room activity and available records, and may remove content or restrict accounts. We do not guarantee a particular action and may not disclose confidential enforcement information.
Where reasonably practicable, users may appeal a suspension or permanent ban by emailing support. Serious or repeated violations, safety threats, fraud or ban evasion may result in immediate action without prior warning. We may preserve information needed to investigate reports, protect users, cooperate with authorities or defend legal claims.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, software, branding, design, compilation, databases and materials supplied by Fans Clash are owned by or licensed to Fans Clash and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, sell, sublicense, redistribute or exploit them. Limited sharing tools supplied by the Service may be used for their intended purpose.
11. Third-party services and links
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and may contain links to third-party services. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their independent content, availability or practices. Your use of Apple, Google and other third-party services may be governed by their own terms.
12. Polls, Clash Mode and promotions
Polls, votes, scores and rankings are designed for entertainment and community participation. They are not professional advice, official sporting results or gambling products. Users must not manipulate voting or rankings. If Fans Clash offers a prize or promotion, separate rules will explain eligibility, selection, timing and restrictions; those rules will prevail for that promotion.
13. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Live events, networks and third-party infrastructure can fail. We may change, suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, commercial or operational reasons. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of material changes that significantly affect users.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties that can lawfully be excluded. Fans Clash does not verify every statement made in a live room and does not guarantee that user content is accurate, complete or suitable. Nothing on the Service is professional, financial, betting, medical or legal advice.
15. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to that, Fans Clash is not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when these Terms were accepted, losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, or business losses suffered by a consumer. If you use the Service for business purposes, our total aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed £100, except where a higher limit is required by law.
16. Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using the Service and permanently delete your account through account settings. We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, created risk or liability, acted unlawfully, or where action is needed to protect the Service or others. Account deletion and retention are described in the Privacy Policy and Account and Data Deletion Policy.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect legal, safety, product or operational changes. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections and may bring proceedings in any court available to you under applicable consumer law, including the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Please contact support@fansclash.app first so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
19. Apple-specific terms
For an app obtained through Apple’s App Store: these Terms are between you and Fans Clash, not Apple; Fans Clash, not Apple, is responsible for the app, its content, maintenance, support and claims relating to it; your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control as permitted by the App Store usage rules and Family Sharing where applicable; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Nothing here limits any obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded under Apple’s applicable terms or consumer law.
20. General
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation, financing, sale or transfer of the Service, provided this does not reduce mandatory consumer rights. These Terms and incorporated policies are the entire agreement concerning the Service, except for any separate written host or partner agreement.

- strong but relevant sporting opinions;
- fair challenges to another person’s argument;
- good-humoured club rivalry and ordinary football banter;
- giving other speakers a reasonable opportunity to contribute;
- criticising performances, decisions and ideas without targeting someone’s identity; and
- reporting genuine safety or conduct concerns in good faith.
3. What is not allowed
Threats and violence
Threatening, glorifying or encouraging violence; wishing serious harm on someone; or sharing instructions intended to facilitate harm.
Hate and discrimination
Attacking, degrading or excluding people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or another protected or personal characteristic.
Harassment and bullying
Repeated targeted abuse, intimidation, humiliation, unwanted sexual remarks, dog-piling, stalking or encouraging others to target someone.
Private information
Sharing or threatening to share home addresses, private contact details, financial information, identity documents, precise location or other sensitive information without lawful authority.
Sexual or exploitative content
Pornography, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate material, sexual threats or content involving minors.
Illegal or dangerous activity
Fraud, scams, illegal betting, match manipulation, terrorism, criminal coordination or instructions intended to enable serious wrongdoing.
Impersonation and deception
Pretending to be another person or organisation, misleading users about affiliation, or operating coordinated fake accounts.
Rights infringement
Unauthorised copyrighted broadcasts, music, commentary or clips; trade mark misuse; or material that violates privacy, publicity or other rights.
Spam and manipulation
Repeated irrelevant promotion, phishing, malware, artificial vote or ranking manipulation, disruptive audio, bots or attempts to interfere with the Service.
Ban evasion
Returning after a ban without permission, helping another person evade enforcement or retaliating against reporters, hosts or moderators.
4. Live-room conduct
- Wait to be invited to speak and follow the host’s reasonable directions.
- Do not shout over others, deliberately dominate the room or repeatedly disrupt the speaking queue.
- Do not play copyrighted broadcasts, music or other audio you are not authorised to share.
- Do not privately record or rebroadcast a room without all required permissions.
- A host may mute or remove a participant to keep the room safe, lawful and usable.
- A host’s decision in a live room is operationally final for that session; serious concerns can still be reported to Fans Clash.
5. Recording notice
Fans Clash does not routinely record rooms at launch. If a room is recorded, a clear notice and active recording indicator must be displayed. Users who do not want their voice included should not speak and may leave. Permitted purposes for recorded material appear in the Terms and Privacy Policy.
6. Reporting and moderation
Use the in-app report control to report an abusive user or inappropriate content. You may also contact support@fansclash.app. Hosts can mute or remove participants from a room, and administrators may suspend or permanently ban accounts. Fans Clash does not currently provide a user-controlled blocking feature. Do not submit knowingly false or malicious reports. Provide enough detail for the issue to be reviewed, but do not place yourself at risk to collect evidence.
If there is an immediate threat to life or safety, contact local emergency services first. Fans Clash is not an emergency service.
7. Enforcement
Action depends on seriousness, context, history and risk. Fans Clash may use one or more of the following:
- A reminder or formal warning.
- Muting or removal from a room.
- Removal or restriction of content or features.
- A temporary account suspension.
- A permanent ban and reasonable measures to prevent evasion.
- Referral to a platform provider, rights-holder, regulator or law-enforcement authority where appropriate.
Serious threats, hateful conduct, sexual exploitation, fraud, doxxing, repeat abuse or ban evasion may result in immediate permanent action. Fans Clash may preserve relevant information where necessary for safety, enforcement or legal claims.
8. Appeals
A user may appeal a suspension or permanent ban by emailing support@fansclash.app with the profile name, account email and a concise explanation. Appeals are reviewed where reasonably practicable. Repeated, abusive or substantially identical appeals may be closed without further response.
9. Hosts and administrators
Hosts are expected to apply these Guidelines consistently, avoid retaliatory moderation and escalate serious issues. Administrators may override room-level decisions, suspend or permanently ban accounts, preserve evidence and take steps needed to protect the community.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Guidelines as the community and Service develop. Questions and reports can be sent to support@fansclash.app. Postal address: Harry Holloway, trading as Fans Clash, 8–10 Welling Way, Welling, Kent DA16 2RJ, United Kingdom.
